Continuing as lead designer for Neiman Marcus' holiday packaging program in 2019, I embarked on a second year of innovation, co-leading the development of a 50+ SKU product line, from illustration research and sourcing to final delivery. Steering production schedules and collaborating directly with a multifaceted team including production managers, copywriters, editors, illustrators, suppliers, and vendors, I ensured every detail aligned with Neiman Marcus' standards.
Building upon the vibrant, whimsical theme of the previous year, 2019 saw a strategic shift towards tonal, pattern-based designs that retained the brand's signature whimsy. In close partnership with illustrator Ty Mattson, I curated complementary custom patterns, illustrations, and color palettes to enhance his imaginative core collection, utilizing vector files to tailor designs for products, packaging, and seasonal materials. Notably, this collection marked the debut of holiday packaging in the iconic Hudson Yards store, further solidifying Neiman Marcus' presence in New York City's retail landscape.
